Join us for “Museum Studies Meetup with Vanessa Quintero - A Conversation about Ethics and Law in the Arts” on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 6:00PM - 7:00PM via Zoom. As an ELAC alumna and the California Lawyers for the Arts Education Program Coordinator, Vanessa will lead an informational presentation and engage participants in a discussion about the intersections between the arts and law.
About the Guest Speaker
Vanessa Quintero is the Educational Program Coordinator at California Lawyers for the Arts. She has experience with multimedia objects, visual culture, and archival materials at small and large-scale institutions including the Vincent Price Art Museum, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, Museum of Latin American Art, and Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Vannesa’s experiences have reaffirmed her interests in the intersection of ethics and law within the arts. She holds a B.A. in Art History from California State University, Los Angeles and is currently in a Library and Information Science graduate program at the University of California, Los Angeles.
The Vincent Price Art Museum proudly presents Museum Studies Meetups, a monthly meetup series dedicated to connecting current and prospective students enrolled in the Museum Studies Certificate Program at East Los Angeles College to current and relevant topics in the museum field.
Museum Studies Meetups are organized by the Vincent Price Art Museum in collaboration with the Art Department and Museum Studies Certificate Program at East Los Angeles College. The event series is made possible with the generous support from the Bank of America Foundation and the Alice L. Walton Foundation.
