Join us for the "Museum Studies Meetup: A Conversation about Curatorial Practice with Selene Preciado" on Thursday, March 16th at 5:30pm - 6:30pm PT on Zoom. Learn about Selene's curatorial process and practice as well as engage in a question-led discussion. Current and prospective museum studies students are encouraged to attend. This event is free, but registration is required.
About the Guest Speaker:
Selene Preciado (she/her) is a Program Associate at the Getty Foundation, where she supports museum and professional development initiatives through Pacific Standard Time and the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship program. As a curator, Preciado has worked at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, the Museum of Latin American Art, Centro Cultural Tijuana, the San Diego Museum of Art, and inSite_05. Preciado obtained a BA in Visual arts from the University of California, San Diego, and holds an MA in Art and Curatorial Practices in the Public Sphere from the University of Southern California.

The Vincent Price Art Museum (VPAM) proudly presents Museum Studies Meetups, a monthly meetup series dedicated to connecting current and prospective students enrolled in the Museum Studies Certificate Program (MSCP) at East Los Angeles College (ELAC) to current and relevant topics in the museum field.
Museum Studies Meetups are organized by the Vincent Price Art Museum in collaboration with the Art Department and Museum Studies Certificate Program at East Los Angeles College. The event series is made possible with the generous support from the Alice L. Walton Foundation and the Bank of America Foundation. All exhibitions and programs are underwritten by the Vincent Price Art Museum Foundation and East Los Angeles College.
