Join us for Museum Studies Meetup: A Conversation about Conservation with Ronel Namde on Thursday, November 16th at 5:30pm in the VPAM Learning Lab! Ronel Namde, Associate Conservator of Photographs at the Getty Research Institute, will lead a presentation about their career trajectory into museum conversation followed by a brief discussion and hands-on demonstration of select photographic materials and processes. Current and prospective museum studies students are highly encouraged to attend this event. Light refreshments will be provided.

About the Guest Speaker
Ronel Namde (she/her) recently started as Associate Conservator of Photographs in the Department of Conservation and Preservation at the Getty Research Institute. She previously worked at the J. Paul Getty Museum, the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC., and Yale University Library. She has done internships at the Weissman Preservation Center at Harvard University, the Arab Image Foundation, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. She holds an MS and certificate of advanced study from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation and a BA in anthropology from Yale University.

The Vincent Price Art Museum proudly presents Museum Studies Meetups, a monthly meetup series dedicated to connecting current and prospective students enrolled in the Museum Studies Certificate Program at East Los Angeles College to current and relevant topics in the museum field.
Museum Studies Meetups are organized by the Vincent Price Art Museum in collaboration with the Art Department and Museum Studies Certificate Program at East Los Angeles College.
