Join us for an afternoon of programming focused on reproductive justice and community dialogue presented in conjunction with the exhibition Phung Huynh: Sobrevivir at the Vincent Price Art Museum.


Program Details

1:00 - 2:00PM: Panel Conversation
Scholars and advocates will discuss the history of Chicana/Latina forced sterilization, 40 years after the historic Madrigal vs. Quilligan court case. Panelists will emphasize how race, class, and gender intersect with women’s reproductive rights and health today.

2:00 - 3:00PM: Community Quilt Workshop
Stitch together your thoughts and ideas about reproductive justice in this free hand-on quilt-making workshop. All materials will be provided and no prior sewing experience is necessary. Adults and youth (12 years and older) are invited to participate.
