Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship Program

getty internship

Aiming to encourage greater diversity in the professions related to museums and the visual arts, the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship Program in Los Angeles supports substantive, full-time summer work opportunities for college students or recent graduates from cultural backgrounds that have traditionally been underrepresented in the arts.

The Vincent Price Art Museum is pleased to offer the following paid position for Summer 2023:

Education and Community Engagement Internship (1 POSITION) JUNE 12 – AUGUST 18, 2023

The Getty Marrow Education and Community Engagement Internship will provide an introduction to the Vincent Price Art Museum (VPAM), the breadth of its education programs, and its ongoing efforts to foster community engagement strategies specific to East Los Angeles College (ELAC) and local communities in East Los Angeles and western San Gabriel Valley. For the 10-week (40 hrs per week) internship period, this intern will play a key role in supporting VPAM’s museum education programs by developing an event and publicity strategies to launch a new on-site Learning Lab—a student-centered work area and event space dedicated to supporting students within the Los Angeles Community College District. The intern may also work collaboratively with museum staff and campus partners to design marketing and outreach materials to increase awareness and participation in VPAM’s public and educational programming. Candidates with graphic design skills and experience working with diverse audiences are highly desired. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated interest in museum education and/or community engagement in the visual arts.
