Welcome to the home page for Filipino American Voices and Images from Southern California, a digital initiative organized by Florante Ibañez and the Vincent Price Art Museum.
In early 2022, we invited Filipino Americans to submit their personal images related to the California experience. We asked participants to reflect: What does California mean to you? And what is your relationship to the Golden State?
More than 100 images were submitted by members of the Fil-Am community, each presented with an original caption. Images cover a range of topics, including:
