Where We Live: Student Perspectives
November 5 to December 7, 2007
Programming: Artist’s Talk by John Divola, November 7, 8 p.m
Where We Live: Student Perspectives is a collaboration among the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Museum Photographs Council, and four community colleges in the greater Los Angeles area.
The project teamed contemporary photographers with a group of students who created work inspired by the Getty Museum’s 2006 exhibition Where We Live: Photographs of America from the Berman Collection. This group exhibition includes sixty images produced by forty students. Renowned photographer Camilo José Vergara mentored the ten participants from ELAC.
