EXHIBITIONS: Upcoming

In fall 2010, Vincent Price Art Museum’s inaugural exhibitions will include:

• ROUND TRIP: Eight ELAC Alumni Artists
  This group show will present surveys of notable alumni artists including Diane Gamboa, Gronk, Clement Hanami, Judithe Hernandez, Willie Herron, Kent Twitchell, John Valadez and Patssi Valdez. The exhibition will be shown on two floors in the First Floor Gallery and the Main Gallery; together these spaces comprise more than 5,000 square feet.
• Hoy Space featuring Sonia Romero
  As the name signifies in the Spanish language, Hoy or today, showcases contemporary artists whose practice extends across media and who address current and active topics.
• Community Focus Gallery
  Our first show will feature work from the renowned community arts organization Self-Help Graphics and Art in East LA.
• Permanent Collection Gallery
  In commemoration of Mexico’s Bicentennial, VPAM reflects on Mexico’s turbulent social and political history through a survey of its collection.
• Permanent Collection Gallery
  Highlights of VPAM¹s holdings of Pre-Columbian art from multiple regions of Mexico, Central America and Peru.
• Permanent Collection Gallery
  A guest-curated show centered on the diversity of representations of the human figure in art in VPAM’s collection.
