re:present L.A. aims to explore, challenge, and depict the multiple representations of Los Angeles. The selected artworks engage with the city highlighting various portrayals that respond to the present social landscapes. re: present L.A. is curated by the graduate students of Claremont Graduate University’s Arts Management, Cultural Studies, and Public Policy programs enrolled in the course CLST 384 taught by Reina Alejandra Prado. The exhibition is funded in part by the CGU Cultural Studies Program, Friedman Award and School of Arts & Humanities at Claremont Graduate University, and the Vincent Price Museum.
