This comprehensive survey of Cervántez’s richly layered, politically charged and spiritually informed artistic practice spans over four decades and encompasses painting, printmaking and muralism, featuring recent works as well as revealing the artist’s historic intersections with social justice work in California, feminist and Latin American solidarity movements, the Chicano art movement, and the era of multiculturalism.
